Andreea Mocofan Appointed as Country Director of Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine Romania

Andreea Mocofan has taken on the role of Country Director at Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine Romania. With extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, Andreea has built a career defined by a strong commitment to innovation and equitable access to healthcare solutions.

She holds degrees in International Relations and Economics from the Bucharest University of Economic Studies (ASE), as well as in Political Science from the University of Bucharest. Additionally, she is a graduate of prestigious international programs, including Leading Digital Transformation in Healthcare at Harvard Medical School and the Business Leadership Program at Duke University.

Andreea Mocofan has held top-level positions in the pharmaceutical industry, with leadership experience across multiple therapeutic areas. She returns to Romania after holding a similar role in Norway, where she significantly contributed to expanding local access to innovative therapies.

In her new role, Andreea will also support the development of Johnson & Johnson’s local presence in industry and business associations in which the company is already a member, such as the Romanian Association of International Medicine Manufacturers (ARPIM), the Local American Working Group (LAWG), the American Chamber of Commerce in Romania (AmCham), the Foreign Investors Council (FIC), and the Belgian Luxembourg Romanian Moldovan Chamber of Commerce (BEROCC).

The company holds a portfolio of innovative medicines in key therapeutic areas such as hematology, oncology, psychiatry and neurosciences, immunology, infectious diseases, cardiovascular, and metabolic disorders. Johnson & Johnson Romania also develops valuable educational programs, including strategic initiatives such as the partnership with the “Carol Davila” University of Medicine and Pharmacy (UMFCD) in Bucharest, as well as impactful projects that support healthcare professionals, patients, and the Romanian healthcare system.
